Anthropology at the University of Georgia reflects the 21st century landscape of this most human of disciplines. Ecology and environment are emphasized in our study of human societies both past and present. These provide the unique basis for the four major anthropological fields of study at UGA: Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, and Applied Anthropology. Our mission is to pursue and disseminate anthropological knowledge of human cultural behavior and human-environment interaction.
