Course Grade:

There will be two quizzes, two mid-term exams, and a final exam at the scheduled times. Quizzes will cover three of the autobiographies (books 3-5) and will each count for 5% of the course grade. Hour exams will be primarily essay type and will cover lecture materials and readings in Garbarino and Sasso, Native American Heritage as indicated in the schedule of assignments below. The final exam will also be essay type and will cover all lecture materials but only readings in Assignments 6 and 7. Each mid-term exam will count for 25% of the course grade. The final exam counts for 40%

Attendance and exam make-up policy:

Students are expected to attend all classes and are advised to do so because of the importance of lecture material in the mid-term and final exams. However, attendance will not be taken, nor will it be considered in the calculation of final grades.

Students who miss an exam because of illness will be allowed to take a make-up exam. Students must have a medical excuse signed by a physician to qualify.
